Homeive had 2 eggs for 6 days .they have sat on them fine until today. now neither will sit on them and the eggs are cold. is there anything i can do

They could be blank and the parents are neglecting them, it may be inexperience parents and you could put them under another pair, even split them, Or they could have had a scare and again you could float them under other birds that are sitting. Also I think if they have went cold at this time of the year you will have lost them or any chance of hatching them

ive been wathching them since 12 oclock and neither sat on them im still watching now and one as just gone in box and started sitting so thats been 4 hours un sat

To add to Dovescots post, there is also the possibility that you have vermin patrolling your loft at night, just a thought.

vermin cant get in my loft anymore ive cured that problem

mike mice get anywere mate and in night go all over boxs and some birds wil just leave eggs while others will fight and not put up with it

but ive made sure there are no gaps big enough for them to get in.ive put loads of air vents in and they have mesh over. the windows ive got are double glazed with air vents ,again with mesh. so they cant get in anywhere

Maybe it is best just to leave them for the 19 days and see what happens if they have gone back on them. my new loft is the same a yours, totally vermin proof unless they chew their way through.

mike put cardboard box in shed with trap in and just see but beleave me a mouse will get in anywere they even run up walls
