    Peanuts

Post by chickadiesel on Mon Dec 29, 2008 6:00 am

Please can everyone give me their honest opinion on giving the birds peanuts.

Do you think they are good in small doses?

Do you not think they are good for them at all? etc etc....

    peanuts

two or three each a day when flying are fine but they pour on fart if just sitting round but then peanuts make um real tame once they have taste for them which makes handeling easier

Agree with the above post, if you cut the peanuts up you can still give as a treat without puting the fat on them. Job for Dovey me thinks ;)

Was once told by an experienced fancier, to give no more than 3 to each bird, and they do build the fat up, that,s why they are given on the build up to a distance race.
