I use Versele larga young bird mix also Garlic oil on the food twice a week. i like the pellets by Natural products aswell just a bit on the corn i think its called nutri.power.It has many uses eg racing, breeding youngbirds,

I feed mine on equal parts beans barley and poultry grower pellets.
have tried all othr feeds over the years but always end up back on this
as it always produces the best quality young birds.
clean water and fresh kirkpatricks black minerals at all times. some grit once a week

I use to use the Natural Products when i was in Worcester. But i cant find it up here. Then again we are going to try a place in Co Durham soon. But im happy with the Versele laga, just not the price

3)What bennifits have you found useing them, and do you give them the older birds?

Hi Amanda. most grain merchants will be able to get you poultry grower pellets.

25kg bag £6
tic beans £5,50
good barley £4,50 the barley and beans are farm grown and purchased there.
THe mixture is 1 bag of each mixed together.
the reason and benefits of this mix is using this on and of for over 30 years
and having tried all other mixes this rears me the best quality young birds in all the nests, even after 4 and 5 rounds.
the other point is its a lot cheaper than other feeds. the pellets have all the oils proteins calcium and vitamins required to rear the perfect young birds.
Ifeed the pellets on return from a race, and always add 20% to my race mixes, keeps the birds tip top.
Hope this helps. your fancy feeds are only a ripp of as far as i am concerned.

i would go along with that, what harry says, you can also give peanuts human consumption type, safer as you can get nasties from dodgy peanuts
